Flower and Earth

Flower & Earth are passionate about gardens, passionate about nature and passionate about plants. This is why we design gardens, maintain gardens  and grow plants with nature in mind.

In our small nursery area we grow plants without the use of chemicals and pesticides, in peat free compost. We grow in an area of Mid Sussex that receives very little rainfall during the summer months so our plants have to be drought tolerant. We find that the plants that pollinators prefer do tend to be more drought tolerant so we think bees know a lot more about growing plants than we do!

We specialise in bee friendly perennials, ornamental grasses and herbs. We select and propagate the plants we grow from those we have growing in our own stock garden and of those that have performed well in the gardens we work with. We buy in a small amount of plants from other nurseries .

Flower & Earth are qualified garden designers and have designed and implemented numerous gardens in the Mid Sussex area. We design gardens to be a haven for nature, attract pollinators and provide shelter for wildlife.
