Bearded Gnome Nursery

The Bearded Gnome Nursery is a new, up and coming, micro nursery situated on the Knepp Estate in West Sussex. Propagating in the heart of the re-wilded estate, Brett specialises in exotic and sub-tropical plants.

Inspired by the weird and unusual plants that embellished my time on the Isles of Scilly, I grow exotic perennials that titillate the plant hunter in us all. I have a love for propagation and a particular fondness for species Aeonium, Begonia, and Persicaria. My plants thrive in coastal conditions and microclimate pockets in the South and South West. I also grow lots of strange and noteworthy herbaceous perennials for the ill-tempered gardener. My ideal garden is one that blends cottage garden perennials with sub-tropical exuberance.
